Even the most experienced cruisers can have difficulty locating their cabin door in the long corridor of identical staterooms. As long as your cruise line allows it and you follow the rules, why not? Decorating your cabin door is a fun thing to do, especially if you’re going on a family cruise, group cruise or even if you want to celebrate a special occasion or anniversary. Norwegian Cruise Line does not allow door decorations, so if you have your heart set on glamming up your door, you may need to consider a different cruise line. The cruise line states that door decorations are not allowed for safety reasons, and your cabin steward will remove your door decorations and leave them in your room.

Experienced cruisers know that your room on the ship will be one of many in a long corridor of identical stateroom doors. All the doors look precisely alike except for their room number. When you are coming from one end of the ship to the other, a decorated door will help you pick your room out quickly and easily. But the cruise line does allow guests to decorate cabin doors. Cruise ships are so big that it’s common for passengers to get lost on board.

Who owns Norwegian Cruise Line? Here's who owns NCL.
That's bigger than all but one Carnival ship and every Princess Cruises ship. Only Royal Caribbean and MSC Cruises have a significant number of bigger vessels. Four of Norwegian's 19 ships — Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Encore — are among the 30 biggest ships in the world. As such, they're loaded with huge numbers of cabins, restaurants, bars, showrooms and deck-top amusements. Some of the notable venues include, Tobacco Road, modeled after Miami’s oldest, legendary bar. And Sugarcane Mojito Bar, a bar specializing in the classic cocktail, while putting a spin on it with fun and unique flavor options.
Some are jampacked with fun zones that make them perfect for families, while others are geared toward couples and retirees. Some ships have attributes that make them stand out for luxury, solo or budget travelers. The cabins measure just 100 square feet but are superbly designed to maximize storage space. They're also clustered around the exclusive Studio Lounge, which has its own private bar and a television area where solo travelers can mingle at daily hosted happy hour gatherings. It's a look that carries over to a bevy of high-end eateries, including Nama, a new-for-Norwegian sushi restaurant with a design that is as sophisticated as the sushi it serves.
The dining options on [Name of the Ship] are a culinary delight, offering a diverse range of flavors and culinary experiences. From fine dining venues serving gourmet cuisine to casual eateries and specialty restaurants, every meal is a celebration of taste and quality. One of the advantages of cruising with [Name of the Ship] is the opportunity to visit multiple destinations without the hassle of packing and unpacking. In addition to these activities, [Name of the Ship] offers a range of immersive experiences, such as culinary classes, wine tastings, and art workshops. Passengers can learn new skills, discover hidden talents, and enrich their knowledge in a variety of subjects.
Each of the vessels has more than a dozen food venues, including three main restaurants, a casual buffet, a steakhouse, a French restaurant and a teppanyaki eatery. Like the Breakaway Plus vessels, the Breakaway ships have large complexes for solo travelers, as well as large, private The Haven suite complexes. These vessels are similar to the Breakaway Plus-class ships but slightly smaller. Or, put another way, the Breakaway Plus-class ships are a stretched version of the Breakaway-class ships. With lots of family-friendly attractions such as the go-kart tracks and laser tag courses, these ships appeal heavily to families with children, particularly teens, but they draw a lot of couples, too. They are also popular with solo travelers, thanks to their unusually large complexes of cabins for one (something you'll find on the Breakaway and Epic classes of ships, too).
Other deck-top features include miniature golf courses on both vessels and basketball courts that double as volleyball courts. Norwegian Cruise Line also says the Prima-class vessels offer the most outdoor deck space of any new cruise ship — including more total pool deck space than any other ships in the brand's fleet. The Norwegian Escape is the largest ship in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet in terms of how many passengers it can accommodate.
The NCL Viva has a construction date of 2023 and a total size of 142,500 gross tons. The ship measures 965 feet (294 meters) in length and falls in line as number 9 among Norwegian Cruise Line’s 19 active cruise ships. The NCL Prima has a construction date of 2022 and a total size of 143,525 gross tons. The ship measures 965 feet (294 meters) in length and falls in line as number 8 among Norwegian Cruise Line’s 19 active cruise ships. The NCL Getaway has a construction date of 2014 and a total size of 145,655 gross tons.
In all, you'll find 13 food outlets on Norwegian Spirit, including two main restaurants, a casual buffet eatery, and versions of the line's signature Cagney's Steakhouse and French eatery Le Bistro. Embarking on a journey aboard the biggest Norwegian cruise ship, [Name of the Ship], promises an extraordinary experience filled with luxury, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Norwegian Cruise Lines has truly elevated the cruising experience with their exceptional fleet, innovative amenities, and carefully curated itineraries. With its diverse range of entertainment and activities, [Name of the Ship] ensures that every moment onboard is filled with excitement, fun, and unforgettable experiences. Whether you’re seeking thrills, relaxation, or cultural enrichment, this ship offers a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that will create memories to last a lifetime. One of the unique features of dining on [Name of the Ship] is the flexibility it offers.
Standout features on Norwegian Epic include a water park with some of the most over-the-top waterslides at sea (including the aforementioned tube-and-bowl slide). All four of the Breakaway Plus ships have large, private, two-deck-high suite enclaves called The Haven that come with their own pool areas, restaurants and lounges. They're some of the most spectacular suite complexes anywhere at sea. Do you prefer the new cruise ships like Norwegian Prima and Viva, or do you prefer the older ships like Norwegian Spirit and Pride of America? At the other end of the scale at less than half the size of Encore is the smallest ship in the Norwegian fleet, the Norwegian Spirit with a gross tonnage of 75,904 and a passenger capacity of 2,018.
